Episod1. Part3. Iryna Rassadina. Life in Sweden
Finally, we've translated the last part of our interview with Iryna Rassadina.
It was essential and exciting for me to learn how Irina, with such a complex experience of living through the first weeks of the war in Kharkiv, a complex moral and physical journey to Mariupol, and dealing with the post-traumatic syndrome, adapted in a foreign country, which is currently one of the European countries where Ukrainian refugees face the most significant challenges.
But the fantastic woman continued to astonish me. Not only did she find friends in cold and distant Sweden, but she also started her own business and appeared several times in the local newspapers with her story. Right now, she is persistently pursuing her dream—to win a grant from a Swedish organization to implement the Swedish experience in integrating and including people with disabilities in at least one Ukrainian community.
Iryna's story is about how much we Ukrainians can contribute to the world, no matter where we are. Her story is about resilience, determination, and the art of survival with benefits for herself and others.
