Cocker Power Spectacuar

April 26th, 2020 marked the 50-year anniversary of Joe Cocker’s Mad Dogs & Englishmen descending upon the Filmore West to deliver one of the legendary performances in rock ‘n’ roll history. This video is a conversation with members of the original tour as well as musicians who participated in the 2015 Lockn’ tribute with the Tedeschi Trucks Band.

This live-streamed event was inspired by rock ‘n’ roll photographer, Linda Wolf, who released a gorgeous book of photos and stories to commemorate the 50-year anniversary. With books in hand, these musicians stepped back in time and generously shared their memories, behind the scenes stories, and music which we knit together with Wolf's stunning black and white images.

PLEASE NOTE: this is not a documentary. These off-the-cuff conversations took place during the COVID-19 pandemic, with all participants isolated in their homes. The recordings were made over video conference, the stories are raw, and the conversations are real.
