📲 Texas Governor Greg Abbott this week signed a new law that requires app stores to verify users’ age, before downloading an app or making in-app purchases. This law goes into effect next January.

🏛️ A provision n Trump's “Big Beautiful Bill” says it would bar state and local AI laws from being enforced over the course of 10 years. The bill narrowly passed in the House last week, but its fate is uncertain as it heads to the Senate.

🤖 Meta has reportedly divided its AI department into two. One will focus on public-facing AI products embedded in its social media apps, while the other, the AGI Foundations unit, will focus on its Llama models development. The tech giant says this will help accelerate the rollout of AI features and products.
