Japan Airlines trials humanoid robot as baggage handler in Tokyo

Japanese baggage handlers will soon be joined by robotic colleagues at Tokyo's Haneda Airport as one of the nation's biggest airlines trials the technology, as shown in a demonstration on Monday (April 27).

Starting in May, Japan Airlines will begin a two-year trial that will see humanoid robots contribute to tasks like baggage handling and cleaning aircraft cabins.
