Car Dealer Impersonates Police, Gets Caught
A Maryland car dealer impersonated a Baltimore County Police Officer while trying to recover a vehicle after a spot delivery. Car dealers that engage in illegal debt collection methods including harassment and police impersonation can be held responsible for damages, which in Maryland, include emotional distress.

23. Credit union car loans turning into unsecured personal loans because the dealer will not provide the title.
