Historic decisions taken in the very first cabinet meeting of the newly formed Keralam government! Led by Chief Minister V. D. Satheesan, the cabinet has approved free bus travel for all women across the state. In another major move, a dedicated new department has been created for senior citizens. Additionally, the government announced a stipend hike of ₹1,000 for Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, helpers, school cooks, and pre-primary teachers, taking the Asha workers' stipend to ₹3,000.
