In this edition of Tarikh, Nikhil narrates the story of how India’s first test Tube baby was born. Till 2003, everyone believed thay Harsha was india’s first test tube baby. In reality, India was the second country to successfully develop the IVF technique. Durga, the first test tube baby was born in 1978 and the credit goes to Dr. Subhash Mukherjee who hot not recognition till 2003 when ICMR acknowledged his contribution.
