The drug diffuses from the donor compartment to the receptor compartment through a semi-permeable membrane, following concentration gradient principles.

Membrane (synthetic/biological)
Drug formulation (gel/cream/solution)
Phosphate buffer (receptor medium)
Magnetic stirrer
Pipette and sampling tubes

Prepare and mount the membrane between donor and receptor compartments.
Fill the receptor compartment with buffer solution.
Maintain constant temperature and stirring.
