A $28 Set Of Pickups: How Much Better Than Stock Pickups Can They Be? Upgrading My Firefly FF338

I love my Firefly FF338, EXCEPT, that the stock pickups were microphonic, and maybe a little muddy. I also struggled with the idea of putting in a set of pickups into a guitar that cost as much as the guitar. So I decided I'd try the cheapest set of alnico magnet pickups I could find on Amazon, and found the Fleor alnico 5's at $28 for the pair.

This isn't a tutorial on how to do the pickup swap, there's smarter people that have done plenty of how-to videos on that, I just included a time lapse of the swap to show that even an idiot like me can do it, as well as a few lessons learned while doing it. I have a sound comparison at the end, do you think it was worth the upgrade?
