This video is hopefully the first in a series of journal pages created using inky card which was used to mop up an unfortunate magenta ink spill in my studio. The first project is inspired by a technique demonstrated by the talented Shawn Petite in her 'Inspiration on Sundays' video series. It shows how to mask out a drawing against a colourful mixed media background using gesso. Mine is a
whimsical, naive doodle sketch celebrating pattern and colour.
I've used stencils from Clarity stamps; Imagination crafts and a mask from the Alli Reeve range.
Acrylic paint from Pebeo; decoCreme 27; 29; white Gesso; Dina Wakley heavy bodied ;magenta
Liquitex acrylic ink;magenta; Amsterdam acrylic ink; black and white. Ayeeda Ink;gold.
Artists Loft water soluble Wax Pastel set.
Black Stabilo pencil. 13 Arts matt gel medium;
Tim Holtz ideaology; Big chat; Bee Crafty; Wordage- phrases and sentiments.
