painting studio ghibli scenes w/ himi jelly gouache 🌱

here’s a video where i try himi/miya gouache paints for the first time and decide to do a redraw of a scene from my favourite ghibli film - kiki’s delivery service! I haven’t painted in months so sorry this isn’t as smoothly clean as you may have hoped, i’ll be posting the digital version i did on my instagram and twitter for you to also see. Fun fact i actually won this paint set from another youtuber when they did a giveaway last year so i’m happy i’ve finally gotten round to trying them out! I did enjoy using the gouache paint though, he texture is interesting as it tends to dry darker and quite matte but it seems easy to handle so i am excited to do more in the future.

also sorry for some of the skips in the painting process! there were points when i thought i was recording but then i checker and realised i hadn’t :(
