Kyrgyzstan - Dungan Mosque and Culture

When Kyrgyzstan was part of USSR, Russians sent people from all over the country to Karakol to develop it. So you will see a variety of ethnicities here. Additionally, in the early 20th Century Chinese Muslims fled China to avoid religious persecution and settled in this part of Modern day Kyrgyzstan. Culture here is very similar to the Ughyur provice of China.
The language has a Chinese base with Arabic, Persian and Turkish words incorporated in the language. The food in this part of the country also has a heavy Chinese influence with one popular dish being the a cold noodle soup called Alyfan Shu
