Bodycam contradicts NAACP president's racial profiling claims

Timmonsville Police Chief Billy Brown accused Rev. Jerrod Moultrie, the president of the local NAACP, of trying to stir up racial unrest after the newly released video contradicted his claims. 'I was shocked that someone who is supposed to be a community leader, a pastor, and head of the NAACP would just come out and tell a blatant lie,' Brown said. Moultrie has claimed that he was pulled over last month for failure to use a turn signal, as well as an issue with his license plate. In a now-deleted Facebook post, he described how the police officer had asked him whether he had drugs in his car, and had repeatedly questioned him on why he was driving a nice car in a nice neighborhood.
