Small telescopic travel rod vs huge Leopard Sharks!

Wanted to test this Kastking travel rod (extends to 8'10")

I used 30lb braided line to catch these beautiful leopard sharks. Surprising to me, the reel was smooth and the rod handled fine. I think I"m more impressed with the reel itself and how smooth it was.
