Are Our Workspaces Making Us Sick? | Nuria Muñoz
Nuria Muñoz joins Vantage Point Conversations to explore life-centered design, biophilic design, regenerative spaces, and why the environments we live and work in have such a deep impact on our health, creativity, stress, and wellbeing.
This conversation matters because many of us spend years in offices, homes, schools, and workspaces that were designed around efficiency, cost, and control - but not necessarily around human flourishing. Nuria challenges the idea that design is only about beauty, aesthetics, or productivity. Instead, she invites us to think about how spaces can support life: human life, planetary life, and the deeper relationship between people and nature.
We talk about how workspaces affect the body, why people can feel depleted in certain environments, what biophilic design really means, and why simply adding plants to an office is not enough. Nuria also shares her own journey from the fashion industry and retail environments into life-centered design, teaching, mentoring, retreats, and creating spaces that help people reconnect with themselves and the natural world.
For leaders, founders, entrepreneurs, designers, educators, and growth-minded professionals, this conversation opens up a bigger question: what would change if we designed our spaces not just for output, but for wellbeing, creativity, restoration, and long-term life?
Topics covered include:
* What life-centered design means
* Why spaces affect health, stress, and wellbeing
* The difference between beautiful spaces and supportive spaces
* What biophilic design is really about
* Why workspaces need more than desks, glass, and grey walls
* How nature connection changes the way we feel and work
* Why leaders should think about return on wellbeing
* How office design affects creativity and productivity
* The role of neuroscience and neuroarchitecture in design
* Why restorative spaces matter in modern work
* What regenerative leadership can teach companies
* Why we need to think seven generations ahead
