Making clear protective Mylar dust jackets for books

User dlphcoracl in the Folio Society Devotees forum told me that he was using a material called Dura-Lar to cover the more expensive or delicate volumes in his/her library. Dura-Lar appears to be an American brand, not readily available here in the UK. But I bought some Mylar archival book film and set to work cutting and folding some protective dust jackets. I'm not very practical by nature so there were a few mishaps along the way, but I was pleased with the end results.

The Mylar fits inside of the slip case and ensure that books have an extra layer of protection while sitting on the shelf. Of course, they are not attached to the books in any way and can be quickly removed when necessary.

The particular film I use is https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00R4UZID8/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_w3D.FbY1QY22X?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
