FortiAP Offline Issue on FortiGate | Compatibility OK, Config OK, But AP Still Down!

Today I faced an interesting FortiAP deployment issue while installing two FortiAP 231G access points with FortiGate.

One FortiAP came online immediately, but the second AP was not showing on FortiGate. I started troubleshooting by checking:

✅ FortiAP firmware compatibility with FortiGate
✅ Configuration comparison between both APs
✅ Static IP assignment
✅ FortiGate and FortiSwitch connectivity
✅ Physical cable testing

After several checks, the issue turned out to be a faulty LAN cable between the PoE switch and the FortiAP.
