Frecce Tricolori Pavarotti Nessun Dorma

Filmed on Saturday 14th July 2007, the Frecce Tricolori display team put on an exceptional show. The Red Arrows are technically excellent - the Tricolori are masters of exuberance. Here are some highlights of the show - enjoy!

Frecce Tricolori ("Three-coloured Arrows") is the aerobatic demonstration team of the Italian Air Force. The team flies the Aermacchi MB-339-A/PAN, a two-seat fighter-trainer and anti-tank craft capable of 898 km/h at sea level.

The Frecce Tricolori fly 10 planes in their demonstrations, of which 9 remain in formation while 1 flies solo for most of the show.

The team is based in Rivolto in the north-eastern Italian region of Friuli Venezia Giulia.

In 2005 they won the award for best exhibition at a major military airshow: the Royal International Air Tattoo at Fairford, England.
On August 28, 1988, the Frecce Tricolori were involved in the Ramstein airshow disaster in which over seventy people lost their lives.
