10. Igloo City
Located in Cantwell, Alaska, Igloo City is very curious for a whole host of reasons. First off, yes, this is a giant igloo that you can find in Alaska, but it wasn't built for aesthetics or to "seal in" the feel of being in one of the coldest places on Earth. Rather, this was meant to be a hotel for tourists. One that was designed to deliver the "feeling" of being in an igloo without actually having to build one yourself or having to go and deal with the various cold temperatures.

9. Agrasen Ki Baoli
Located in New Delhi, India, the Agrasen Ki Baoli is a step well that was made over 500 years ago to help the city in times of need. How so? It was constructed so that you could go and get ground water from within the earth at any point in time. Thus ensuring that the city wouldn't need to fear a drought, a noble goal.

8. Okpo Land
The notion of an abandoned amusement park is not new, there are many across the world that fit this mold, but in regards to the South Korean park known as Okpo Land, it has a slightly different story to tell.
Mainly because at one point in time, Oko Land was one of the most popular amusement parks in all of Asia, which is saying something when you really think about it. Yet then it was shut down and became a ruin before being demolished, but why?

7. Carrie Furnaces
"Carrie Furnace is a former blast furnace located along the Monongahela River in the Pittsburgh area industrial town of Swissvale, Pennsylvania, and it had formed a part of the Homestead Steel Works."
The intention of the furnaces were just as it sounds, it was to go and make iron and steel, and it did that for a very long time.

6. Phone Booth Graveyard
Technology is almost always advancing, and as such there are instances where objects large and small become obsolete. When mobile phones became a thing that was not only viable, but able to be spread around the nation, phone booths almost overnight went extinct in terms of their use, the same goes for certain payphones that you'd have to drop a quarter or such into in order to make a call.

5. "Hobbit House"
When you think about Hobbits, you think about Lord of the Rings, and then the nation of New Zealand as that's where everything was filmed for the 6 movies. However, if you head to Wiltshire, England, you're going to find another "Hobbit House", but this one is more of a barn. "Colin's Barn" to be exact.

4. The Buzludzha Monument
The Buzludzha Monument that you'll find in Bulgaria is an example of history taken over by nature in a way that likely pleased a lot of people due to the intent of the building when it was made. Originally, the monument was constructed in the Cold War, Bulgaria was under Communist rule, and the government decided to build this massive structure to house the Communist Party within the country.

3. Cape May Bunker
In New Jersey, in 1942, during the second World War, a massive bunker was built on the beach of Cape May for a specific purpose, to defend the beach in case of invasion:
“The round turrets on either side held six-inch guns. The horseshoe-shaped structures which can be seen out in front at low tide are Panama Mounts.

2. Robert Bruno Steel House
Found in Ransom County, Texas, the Robert Bruno Steel House is a home that was indeed made by a man named Robert Bruno. You might look at it and go, "why does it look like a spaceship?" That would be because that was his intention. He wanted something truly unique.

1. Suisun Bay Reserve Fleet
At the end of World War II, 350 ships were made and gathered in Suisun Bay in California and given the orders to be ready for combat and deployment at a moment's notice. The ships were clumped together to save space and to make sure they were ready. The war soon ended, but the orders were upheld in case of other conflicts.
