I Tried Hyperagent — Airtable's New AI Agent Platform
A quick walkthrough of Hyperagent, the new AI agent platform from the team behind Airtable. I show you my Chief of Staff agent, my auto-posting Twitter bot, the integrations, built-in tools, costs, and where this thing actually shines (and where it gets expensive fast).
What's covered:
- The agents section — what makes Hyperagent different from a regular chatbot
- Triggers: chat, Slack, Telegram, schedule, webhook, and unique email addresses per agent
- Built-in tools: video/audio gen, slides, browser control, web search, skills.md
- Rolling memory and the "learning" section for agent improvement
- My Stash agent turning messy input into clean Google Tasks
- My Twitter bot running daily on Haiku for ~$0.30/day
- Cost dashboard reality check — Opus 4.7 tasks can run $0.40+ a pop
- Integrations (they're robust — Airtable integration is especially solid)
My take: Hyperagent has become part of my regular stack. The combination of hosted agents, multiple invocation methods (especially the unique email addresses), and tight Airtable integration makes it genuinely useful for real workflows. It's not the tool for small stuff — token costs add up quickly on Opus — but for heavier, scheduled, or multi-step work, it earns its keep. Would love to see a cheaper model below Haiku for experimentation.
