Mortar For Patria 1914 -1916 I got from a friend who dug it in his garden when he planted potatoes :)
A mortar is a container for hammering and crushing spices or crystalline substances. Its accessory is an elongated mallet with an extended end, which was missing in my case and it is called "hammer, pestle or boob".

Most often, mortars are made of brass. Most brass mortars have a number embossed on the underside to indicate the size of the mortar. There may be cases where a brass mortar is placed in the ground where it was used to ground the radio.

Cast iron mortars were mass-produced during the First World War. Cast iron mortars are also called substitutes, as they were exchanged for brass ones, which were used to make liners for cannons. However, cast iron is not very suitable for the production of mortars due to its rapid corrosion, especially when processing acidic materials.
