Born January 31, 1928 in St. Hyacinthe, Quebec, Canada, came to Barbados in 1952. Glorious Soprano, Pioneer in Radio Broadcasting, Singing Teacher to many Schools, Choirs and innumerable individuals, Doris was an inspiration to all musicians. She founded the Cecilian Singers in 1971 and received the Silver Crown of Merit from Barbados, as well as the Andres Bello Medal in 1978 from the Government of Venezuela.
