Which Macan to buy? And how to configure it (for resale value)

This video covers my (rambling) thoughts about which Porsche Macan to buy and how to spec it. I focus on resale value. I lean towards a very lightly optioned Macan S. I would do this over a lightly optioned or no option Macan GTS.

The process is based on the assumption that when the next Macan generation comes out, it will implicitly cruch all prior Macan generations and put a quasi-ceiling on their price. While some prior generation cars will still continue to sell well, oft-times even the base variant the next generation provides more performance and features than does the top one of the prior generation. Case in point: the GTS from this generation is at least as tood as the Turbo from the last generation.

This issue will impact all levels of the Macan range. However, the Macan GTS will likely take the biggest hit given that it has little performance increment over the Macan S.

I do not select the base Macan. The base Macan is cheaper. But, it only has a four cylinder engine and is significantly slower than the Macan S.
