About T.J. Valentine, PGA

With over 25 years of teaching experience T.J. brings a level of expertise, experience and knowledge that will help elevate any level of golfer's ability. His ability to communicate a difficult topic in a very efficient, simple and fun way adds a level of enjoyment to the coaching and learning process that will build a foundation and beyond to last a lifetime in this great sport.

T.J. graduated from Bryant University in 1999 with a degree in Marketing. Along with growing up with a strong golf playing background he played 4 years of College Baseball at Bryant developing a strong desire to coach and understand the bio-mechanics of sport.

T.J.'s playing ability and desire to compete has been displayed with his professional victories and selection to compete in 2005 on The Golf Channel's hit series, "The Big Break IV". He has also been featured in other series on The Golf Channel such as "Golf with Style" and "The Grey Goose 19th Hole" as well as other golf publications.

A proper backswing or takeaway in your golf swing can be the start to a more efficient overall swing leading to less over the top moves and better face control. A lot of golfers struggle with bringing the club too far to the inside (relative to the target line and the hip line) and cannot seem to correct the issue. Over my 25 years of teaching and coaching experience more golfers struggle with the takeaway because of a poor set up. If you are getting too much on your toes at address this will cause, in most cases, you too pull the club immediately behind you in order for you to maintain dynamic balance. No matter how hard you try, your brain and bodies natural ability to remained balanced will always win and you will keep bringing the golf club too far inside during your backswing. Focus on your toe to heel balance at address for a better chance for that perfect golf swing takeaway!
