Tour of the Walled City INTRAMUROS and FORT SANTIAGO | K-Mac's Food and Travel

Intramuros, also known as the Walled City, was founded back in the 16th century by Miguel Lopez De Legazpi, a Spanish explorer, who also declared Manila as the New Capital of the Spanish colony in 1571.

Intramuros is a latin term which means “within the wall” dahil napaliligiran ang lugar na ito ng matataas na dingding na bato na nagsilbing proteksyon sa mga nagtangkang manloob at manakop noon.

Ngayon, Intramuros is one of the top tourist spots not just by locals but also foreigners dahil sa angking ganda nito. Napanatili ng City governtment ng Manila na mapreserve ang mga Spanish Colonial structures na matatagpuan sa loob nito.

Let’s go back in time tour around the Old Manila, Intramuros.
