The Scientific Study of History, Dr. Peter Turchin
Dr. Peter Turchin, professor of ecology and evolutionary biology and mathematics at the University of Connecticut, explains how we can study history scientifically, a field called "cliodynamics" and also explains how large complex human societies are possible. Turchin is a short-term visitor at the National Institute for Mathematical and Biological Synthesis (NIMBioS).
