YIn Mn Blue Paint

Gamblin Oil paints created a limited run of the new blue YIn Mn Blue (Yin Min Blue). I was able to get a tube and do a test run. This video is the results of that test run.

Munsell Notations (approximate):
6.25 PB, Value 3, Chroma 12

Mixing Notes:
Out of a tube this resembles cobalt blue. When mixed with titanium white it shifts toward violet, similar to ultramarine blue. When mixed with ivory black it maxes a nice deep mid chroma blue.

Pigment: YInMn (Yttrium, Indium, Manganese) discovered by Man Subramian at Oregon State University in 2009.

Binder: Alkali Refined Linseed Oil, grown in America
