How to Clone and Swap from Old Internal SSD to External SSD

This video is not a proper tutorial to know much and I am way too lazy to make it understandable.

It is split into many sections:

1. Before cloning the drive, make sure you already made Windows To Go using Rufus on your other internal SSD with enclosure or external SSD.
a. Download Rufus Portable latest version. Download Windows 10/11 Image either on official website, or 3rd party website.
b. Make sure you already buy new SSD to proceed into making it Windows OTG with just using Rufus.

2. After that, then you can proceed into clone the drive from Windows C: to new internal SSD using Macrium Reflect Free version 8. Download from MajorGeeks dot com.

3. After done cloning, extend the partition using any Partition Master software. (if only the new SSD is bigger than old one). In my case, I am using Minitool Partition Wizard 12.
a. This method is different if you are downgrade the SSD. Other youtubers can help with that problem. b. Keyword: Clone smaller drive from big storage drive or something like that

4. Swapping the drive. Depends on your motherboard, the SSD slot is different. In my case, A520M is just like this youtuber made the video. I followed them here. https://youtube.com/shorts/IRqY_17IDoc?si=rg83r2rn_MVbQCXu

5. Attach the Windows OTG made before to USB port. Computer will recognize that external drive as boot Windows. Computer cannot detect the swapped drive at first boot. Proceed to next step.

6. Turn the new drive Online using Computer Management. Right click on Start Menu or Press Windows Key + X ▶ Computer Management ▶ Disk Management ▶ Right click on newly cloned drive ▶ Turn drive Online.

7. Reconfigure bootloader. Using EasyBCD 2.4 Community Edition (CE). Last version to work with editing the bootloader menu entry. Select add new boot, rename bootloader as Windows 10/11, select the newly swapped SSD, a drive letter, click on ➕ button.

8. Edit bootloader. Make the previous step 7 as Windows Default (tick ✅ default Yes), tick ✅ Use metro bootloader, set timer countdown 30 seconds (or you want to.) Save Settings. Done.

9. Now reboot the computer. You can see 2 OSes to choose from bootloader. Select the OS from step 8. Now the clone internal SSD drive is ready to go.
