Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar has held talks in Washington with US Secretary of State and National Security Adviser Marco Rubio, in a key diplomatic engagement aimed at reviewing bilateral ties and regional developments.

According to officials, the two leaders met on Friday and also appeared together for a photo opportunity ahead of their formal discussions. A joint statement is expected later in the day, while Ishaq Dar is also scheduled to address a press conference following the talks.
