Yoel Romero calls UFC release ‘unexpected’, talks signing with Bellator | Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show

Yoel Romero, alongside his translator Ray, joins Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show to discuss his “unexpected” UFC release and the names the promotion was offering for him to fight at 185 and 205 pounds. “The Solider of God” says (31:30) five companies initially reached out to sign him, but eventually signed with Bellator MMA. (37:10) Romero gives his thoughts on a potential fight vs. Anthony “Rumble” Johnson and when he’d like to make his debut.
