Holy Week "Tenebrae" Service - Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday (or Holy Thursday) is the day we remember Jesus's last supper with his apostles and his commandment to love and serve one another. This day leads us into Good Friday and Jesus's procession to the cross.

In this Holy Week video service, Rev. Salvatore Sapienza (pastor of Douglas United Church of Christ in Saugatuck/Douglas, Michigan) leads us in a very moving "Tenebrae" ritual, as the altar is stripped and the "7 Last Words of Jesus" are read.

The service also includes some beautiful music from pianist, Peter Black, and vocalist, Jeff Spangler, who performs the song, "Worn."
