COOKING FRESHWATER CLAMS IN COCONUT MILK | Life in the Philippine Countryside [ Episode 39 ]

Mabuhay!

Freshwater clams or "bennek/tukmem" in Iloco or "halaan/tulya" in Filipino are very popular to the locals in the countryside. Today, I went to a clean stream near to my house and got some freshwater clams. I was very happy because I got so much of it but they're small.😅 I decided to cook it in coconut milk with chilies. It is called as "ginataang halaan" in Filipino and "ginittaan nga bennek" in Iloco. As usual, we enjoyed eating beside the ricefields.💚
