D&D/Baldur's Gate 3 Recipe | Create Food and Water + Potion of Healing | Anime Kitchen

With Larian Studio releasing Baldur’s Gate 3 into early access this month, the Dungeons and Dragons (D&D) and video game community have been swarming the game like crazy. While the game in its current state may be rough around the edges (like… real rough around the edges), I’ve still been having an absolute blast with the game and I hope to see the release of this game continue to push the trend of making Dungeons and Dragons a more accessible, and less stigmatised interest for the general public!

So, in celebration of Baldur’s Gate 3 being released, I figured I’d make a video that literally no one asked for (but screw it, I felt like making this), join me in Anime Kitchen today as I make what I interpret to be the spell Create Food and Water as described in the Player’s Handbook from Dungeons and Dragons 5e and as a bonus recipe, we’re also going to be making a simple but delicious cocktail based on the classic RPG and fantasy item, the Potion of Healing.

Ingredients:
Hardtack:
• 1 cup/176 grams AP flour
• 100ml water
• ¾ tsp/3.5g salt

Potion of Healing
• 30ml vodka
• 30ml triple sec
• 45ml orange juice
• 45ml raspberry cordial
• 15ml lemon juice
• 100ml carbonated water
• 1/2tsp shimmer powder
• Grenadine or food colouring
• Ice

Recipes:
Hardtack:
1. Preheat an oven to 190C.
2. In a mixing bowl, add in the flour, salt and water. Mix together with a butter knife until a shaggy dough is formed. Then knead with your hands until it comes together into a dough that is dry to the touch. (If too sticky, add flour 1 tsp at a time).
3. Flour your work surface and turn out the dough. Dust the top of the dough and a rolling pin with more flour. Roll out the dough into 1 to 1.5cm in thickness. Cut into desired shapes.
4. Place onto a baking tray and bake for 30 minutes. Flip the hardtacks and bake for an additional 30 minutes.
5. Remove from oven and cool hardtacks on a wire rack.
6. Store in an airtight container, or soak in water/soup/etc. for 5-10 minutes and serve.
Potion of Healing
1. Into a cocktail shaker with ice, add the vodka, triple sec, orange juice, raspberry cordial and lemon juice. Shake vigorously to combine.
2. Top with carbonated water and mix in the shimmer powder. Adjust for colour using grenadine or red food colouring.
3. Strain and enjoy.
