Giraffe with "Wry Face"
This is what my friend Veterinary Scientist Jackie Terblanche had to say: " The animal in this picture and video is in good body condition and is able to feed normally. We can see that there is a deviation of the upper jaw and the nasal bones. This is likely a congenital condition, ie the animal was born like this. He has clearly adapted very well and is able to eat normally.
Another possible reason could be trauma to the face.
We do sometimes see a similar condition in some of our domestic species like horses, alpacas and llamas. Here it is commonly known as wry face, which by definition is a congenital condition causing variable deviation of the maxillary and nasal bones."
