Venezuelan Interim Prez snaps at US over ‘irrelevant & offensive orders’, eyes $1.4 bn investment

Venezuelan Interim President Delcy Rodriguez snapped at US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent and termed his comments as ‘irrelevant and offensive’. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent had earlier said that the Trump administration would gradually lift sanctions against the Venezuelan govt . Bessent also noted that when Washington decides the time is right, there will be free and fair elections in the country. Rodriguez also made a big statement on investment in oil production in the country. Venezuelan Interim President said the country was expecting about $1.4 billion in investment in oil projects . These projects operating under production sharing contracts, are an up from nearly $900 million investment in 2025
