Family life of Cuban Godfather actor Andy Garcia

Andy Garcia is a talented American actor, director and composer. His Cuban roots have let him create the whole cinema gallery of recognized characters. The role in a movie about mafia The Godfather earned him several prestigious awards. Despite strict moral principles and absence of rumors or scandals over his personality, Garcia became a popular celebrity not only in the Hollywood but all across the globe! He is a believer and tries to keep personal life private, yet some information about his family is still known.

Andy’s mother, Amelie Menendez is very close with all kids and is proud of each of them but Andy in particular. She worked as an English teacher and was the head of the Cuban Garcia Clan.

The father, Rene Garcia was a lawyer by profession. Additionally, he was growing avocados in his own farm. The family had more than enough money to afford basically everything. However, due to the changes in the government, they were sent away from the country and that’s how they all turned out to be in Miami Beach. In the US they have found a fragrance company and with the time it was already worth the millions. Unfortunately, at the age of 76 Rene died as he had health issues.

The Hollywood star has a brother and a sister, named Rene and Tessi respectively. All of them are very close till nowadays. Nothing much is known about Rene, yet Tessi is a single mom.

In 1982, Andy Garcia married Maria Lorido Garcia and they have been living merely ever since. They met in a college and had been dating for 7 years before finally tying the knot.

The couple has produced 4 children.

The eldest one is Dominik who was born in 1983. She has inherited her dad’s acting talent and therefore, since early years has been appearing in different movies, playing minor roles. Now she is an established actress.

In 1988 daughter Daniella was delivered. Like her sister and father, she is also into the moviemaking sphere.

The third daughter, Alessandra came into the world in 1991. Surprisingly enough but she decided to pursue a career of a plus size model instead of an actress and her dreams came true. Nowadays, her pictures can be seen on the front pages of international magazines. She wants all women of all sizes, nationalities and skin colors feel comfortable.

The fourth child and the only son, Andres Antonio was born in 2002. He is an actor and played in The Lost City.
