Psychedelics are purported to change people’s minds, sometimes in unexpected ways. However, is it possible they change your political perspective? If so, does this effect occur in every situation and for every political background?

After reading an article giving examples of extreme right-wing usage of psychedelics, we became intrigued. Most people answer the above questions with a resounding Aye; should they?

Join us for this open discussion to explore these questions! After a short introduction into the topic and the different perspectives, MIND staff will pose questions to you and moderated the conversation. Together, we hope to engage in deep thought and discover what it is about the psychedelic experience, if at all, that changes your political orientation. Perhaps the forming of your own political views will become better understood…
The discussion will be moderated by Lukas Basedow, Patrick Wentorp, and Andy Meijer. Their backgrounds are in, respectively, neurobiology, philosophy, and neuropsychology.
