30 Giant Balloons from Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parades 2012-2019 before the coronavirus global pandemic Covid-19. This year, 2020, a shorter parade was televised and held only by Macy's at 34th street with no viewers allowed to keep everyone safe from the virus.

2015: Spongebob Square Pants, Wiggleworm, Angry Birds' Red, Thomas the Tank Engine, Pikachu
2016: Charlie Brown, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Felix the Cat, Ice Age Scrat & his Acorn
2017: Olaf from Frozen, Trolls
2018: Chase from Paw Patrol, Jett by Super Wings, Goku, Red Mighty Morphin Power Ranger,
The Elf on the Shelf
2019: Astronaut Snoopy, Green Eggs and Ham, Spongebob SquarePants with Gary, Dr. Seuss' The Grinch, and at the end of the parade: Santa Claus in his sleigh welcomed by the cheers of the crowd.
