I redesigned an old Hippie Leather Bag With Modern Materials (Easy Pattern!)

I've been a long time collector of vintage handmade laced leather bags. So when I had the idea to take my own go at designing a laced leather bag, I decided to draw from a more utilitarian aesthetic using rivets and leather techniques used in more demanding situations - postal bags and such. What came was one of my most favorite designs ever, a beautiful and interesting laced leather hip (or hippie) bag that can be made with very few tools and leather (about 2 sq. ft.), can dress up or be a daily, and will last well into the next hundred years like my vintage collection has.
