Anatomy for the Equine Artist

Presented by award winning artist, Karen McLain and Internationally acclaimed photographer, Meredith Hudes-Lower. This series will examine anatomy as a reference for artist of every medium and skill level . Karen will provide examples, through painting and drawing, of the the underlying musculature and skeletal structure of horses. A solid understanding of anatomy is critical for artist of every discipline. Join us as we explore Equine Anatomy with Karen McLain.
Photographs of each anatomical area will accompany Karen's artwork from every conceivable angle, gait/position, lighting, and coat colour. Stallions, mares, yearlings, and foals will be well represented. A compilation of the Equine Anatomy series with even more reference photographs and video will be available for sale in the fall-winter of 2017.
