Grand Marquis mystery powerlock problem solved

00 Grand Marquis GS NO KEYLESS ENTRY power locks weren't working. Both sides had a power and ground, both switches checked good through all positions. Absolutely everything tested good INCLUDING THE 2 BAD WIRES. I may have made a miscalculation in my troubleshooting, still not sure :-) The Pink GR wire and the Pink YL wires were the culprits. They both read through as if they are fine. The 2 wires send a ground and disconnect a ground between the 2 switches depending on the position of the switches or they send 12 v between the 2 sides. When I routed 1 wire through the interior to test one side worked. When I added the second wire both sides began working. This car had an aftermarket alarm installed and also removed somewhere along the way. I believe I will find diodes installed on the factory wire if I look for them. I don't even care at this point to do any searching for further cause. I'm just going to run 2 new wires.
