Have you ever wondered how the Department sets hunt dates, harvest limits and overall hunt structure?

2022 is a big year for hunting in New Mexico. The Department and State Game Commission will be reviewing eight rules that oversee big game hunting. It is an excellent time for everyone to get involved. During the January session, we covered the meat and potatoes for the rule-setting process.
