Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán performs “Recordando a Pedro Infante” at the 25th Annual Mariachi Vargas Extravaganza in San Antonio, Texas on December 7, 2019. This specific popurrí of songs is unique to Mariachi Vargas because it combines classic songs that were made famous by Pedro Infante but were written and arranged by Mariachi Vargas' Artistic Director Ruben Fuentes. Mariachi Vargas’ current generation brings a whole new twist to these classic pieces and features vocalists Andres Gonzalez (“Ni Por Favor”), Robert Lopez ("El Muñeco de Cuerda"), Carlos Martinez ("Flor Sin Retoño"), Daniel Martinez ("Cien Años") and Angel Lopez and Jonathan Palomar (“Tres Consejos”).

Pedro Infante is considered to be one of the greatest singers and actors from the Golden Age of Mexican cinema. He left his mark on popular mariachi and ranchera music through his soul touching interpretations.
