With the 460kHz IF taken care of, we now need to focus on the other intermediate frequency, the 2MHz. This involves adjusting an oscillator, working at 2.46MHz, to convert the 2MHz IF down to the normal 460kHz that takes care of the lower frequency bands.
Again, understanding what we are doing makes the procedure a lot easier and more intuitive.
I must mention that I had a few doubts cleared up from the previous stage, thanks to some of you who kindly shared your knowledge in the comments section. I invite you to do so, as a pooled knowledge base is always better than counting solely on my understanding of these instructions.
