The plaintiff claims she was awakened in the middle of the night by the defendant, only to find out from the police that her car had been involved in a homicide. She is suing her ex-boyfriend, who she says initially lied to her about what happened to her car. She’s suing for the damages to her car and pain and suffering. The defendant claims he was trying to do a good deed for a friend when he was caught in the middle of a shootout and almost killed. He is countersuing his ex because he says she only cared about her car.
