Gingerbread Lane at Hyatt Regency Vancouver (2022) #Christmas

I must be out of my mind to pick the day of Winter Solstice, the first day of winter, to come all the way to downtown Vancouver when the temperature dropped to MINUS 15 !! It was 15 below zero and I was out there walking thru the snow and mud ....... Thankfully, this hotel was right next to Burrard Station, so I could warm up pretty quickly while looking at these amazing gingerbread houses!

"Vancouver’s Hyatt Regency is home to Gingerbread Lane, a festive display of tasty-looking Christmas gingerbread creations in downtown Vancouver in December.

Unfortunately, the event didn’t happen in 2020 or 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic. It’s back though in 2022. It celebrates its 30th anniversary from December 2nd to 29th.

This year there are 17 gingerbread house displays (which is fewer than in past years prior to COVID). They are still very good though and worth checking if you’re in the neighbourhood."
