India is experiencing its longest heatwave, with temperatures soaring over 45 degrees Celsius since mid-May. The India Meteorological Department predicted intense heatwave conditions over east India and northwest till June 14. Moreover, extremely heavy rainfall is expected to occur over Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Goa, Konkan, Coastal, and North Interior Karnataka on June 11.
