Giant 1/3 Scale BAE Hawk (Skygate) -- US Scale Masters Championships 2016

Here's the second in my footage from the recently completed US Scale Masters National Championships at the Woodland-Davis Aeromodelers field (Sept 29 - Oct 2). Somehow or other your resident RC Geek came out as the National Champion! This is a 1/3 scale BAE Hawk (Skygate kit) built and flown by Shailesh Patel. This airplane placed third overall in expert with a static score of 98.75 and average flight score of 95.5. Shailesh is a long time competitor of the scale masters as I remember watching him compete when I was a kid. He is without a doubt a master builder and pilot.
