Samsung Note 10 Vs Note 10 Lite - Which One to Get?

In terms of design, the Note 10 offers a more premium look and feel as compared to the Note 10 Lite. You get a curved front and back with the latest Gorilla Glass 6 and a shiny aluminum frame. However, the Note 10 Lite has a glasstic back with an aluminum frame. It also lacks a curved display. Both the phones have a punch-hole display though.

Display-wise, both the Note 10 and Note 10 Lite offers a FullHD Super AMOLED panel with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The Note 10 Lite is tad bigger at 6.7-inches as compared to the 6.3-inch of the Note 10. Both the Note 10 and Note 10 Lite is running on Android 10 OS with One UI 2.0. But, the performance isn’t the same. The Note 10 Lite is powered by a two-year-old Exynos 9810 chipset, while the Note 10 has the latest Exynos 9825 SoC. Hence, you get better graphics and faster multitasking ability on the Note 10. Both the phones come with 8GB of DDR4 RAM. Note 10 Lite has 128GB of storage and Note 10 has 256GB of storage. However, Note 10 Lite offers a microSD card slot which the Note 10 lacks.

Talking about what’ lacking, Note 10 Lite lacks an IP rating, while you do get IP68 Dust and Waterproofing on the Note 10. On the audio front too, Note 10 takes the cake with its stereo speakers. That being said, the Note 10 doesn’t have a 3.5mm headphone jack which the Note 10 Lite possesses. Security on both these phones is provided by an in-display fingerprint sensor. However, Note 10 uses an ultrasonic sensor which is faster and secure in comparison to the optical sensor of the Note 10 Lite.
What’s similar between these two phones? The cameras. Both the phone's imaging capability is more or less similar. You get a punchier color on the Note 10, while the Note 10 Lite produces true to life colors. Battery life wise, the Note 10 Lite is more enduring as it comes with a 1000mAh more capacity than the Note 10. Both these phones support 25W charging, however, you only get wireless charging feature on the Note 10.

So, which one is better: Note 10 or Note 10 Lite? Definitely, the much expensive Note 10. However, if you want a value for money Note with S-pen, the Note 10 Lite is an excellent choice. Surely, you get better performance and better design with Note 10, but if you look at the overall utility, I think it delivers more; like a flagship-grade camera, a great software experience, one of the best displays and above all, the S-Pen.
