A taste of Thomas Cook | Airbus A321 G-TCVB Newcastle to Tenerife 2019

#ThomasCook #AirbusA321 #Newcastle #Tenerife #TripReport
The beginning of March 2019 started for me with an 8 day holiday to the beautiful island of Tenerife.
The day started quite early, leaving home at 05:30am to check-in and drop our bags off before heading through security.
Going through security at Newcastle Airport is one of the easiest and most seamless in the United Kingdom.
A glass of cup of coffee followed by a bacon sandwich and glass of fresh orange juice followed during my visit to Bar 11.
Bar 11 is a great location inside the terminal and offers nice views of the planes parked up at the terminal, as well as departing and arriving aircraft using the 25 end of the runway.
After relaxing for a little, whilst watching the planes, our gate was displayed and it was time to walk to Gate 11.
Boarding began immediately as we arrived at the gate which allowed us to get on board the aircraft with enough time to settle into our seats. Cabin doors closed, and our pushback began.
We quickly made our way to runway 25, as a shower of rain began to fall outside, and went on to depart.
Our climb finished at a cruising altitude of 35,000ft with our route taking us down the West coast of the UK. Small breaks in the clouds revealed beautiful views of Blackpool, Liverpool, Rhyll and Cardiff.
Shortly thereafter the cabin crew began serving those customers that had pre-ordered their in-flight meals.
I had ordered our meals online at a cost starting from £7.50 for the meal, included in it was an English breakfast, Sicilian Lemon & poppyseed muffin, Strawberry yoghurt, Orange juice finished with a hot drink ( cuppa tea for me).
After a filling meal, it was time to settle in for the remaining 2 and a half hour flight. A read of the latest edition Airliner World magazine and some video editing on my laptop meant the time passed by (rather too quick for my liking).
Before too long we were beginning our descent into Tenerife and the cabin crew began preparing the cabin in readiness.
A straight in approach to land on runway 25 took us past the North of Tenerife and the city of Santa Cruz.
After breaking through the low cloud we landed on runway 25 and taxied past a vast array of various airlines and planes taking holidaymakers to & from the Island.
We were fortunate enough to get a jet-bridge equipped gate. Upon arrival, there was just enough time for a quick visit to the cockpit.
Overall experience was a very positive one. I've flown with Thomas Cook many times in the past and the crew are always friendly and make you feel welcome onboard.
I hope you enjoyed this Trip Report. Let me know what you think in the comments section below.
